Hi John I was looking for some myself, there really aren’t many out there. Picking Cherries and Taking Profits from The Stock Market by KK Wong is one that’s quite an interesting read – a number of trading strategies are outlined. For something more academic, there’s Stock Market Wisdom: A Guide to Investing During
Bull and Bear Markets by Dr. Othman Yong but it’s mostly theory but gives a good overview of the different schools of thought on stock market efficiency. Check out http://www.mph.com.my or http://www.selectbooks.com.sg for more….

Fooled by randomness – The hidden role of chance in the markets and in life
There are many ways of being the fool of randomness. One, as here, is to fail to predict the rare event. Nothing can be more certain than that the unexpected will happen sooner or later, but lulled into a sense of security by the periods of relative calm between, people forget to allow for it.
The book’s short but excellent final section deals with this Zen-like problem of trying to break oneself out of a mould of thinking that cannot be broken, even though one recognises its shortcomings.

I do not want to recommend any book because I do not know investing style of any of your readers. I would urge your readers to be open to different investment styles and find the style that is best suitable for the person.

The Wall Street Self Defence Manual by Henry Blodget available @ Kinokuniya
One of the best books on investing I’ve read (and I have a library full of over 30 books on investment & finance) sound & solid advise for long time investor or beginner on the virtues of passive investing & importance of costs. The sales charge we pay here in Malaysia of 5%+ may not seem much, but the author shows you the impact of that compounded over 30 years, trust me, it’ll blow your mind!
Fooled By Randomness also a fine book, but quite technical & taxing if you’re new to investing.
Happy reading.
p.s. knowledge is power!
